WILMORE - Asbury Athletics Director Mark Perdue announced on Tuesday that women's golfer Hannah Griffith was named the Cane's Player of the Week for her performance at the Tennessee Wesleyan Bojangles invitational last Monday and Tuesday in Loudon, Tennessee.
Griffith fired off an 81-73 combo en route to a fourth place finish at the tournament. Her 73 on the second day was an impressive two-strokes lower than any other round for the day and bumped her all the way into the a fourth-place tie with two other golfers. The 73 was also the second lowest round of the tournament as Daria Delfino from Loyola University (Mo.) shot a 72 on the first day to help her take the top spot in the tournament.
Griffith outpaced the other River States Conference golfers by 12 strokes.
