GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Asbury University women's tennis team fell 7-2 at No. 17 Georgetown College on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference play.

AU is now 5-4 on the year with the loss. The Eagles will look to bounce back on Thursday at home against RSC opponent IU Kokomo.

In Tuesday's match, Asbury trailed 2-1 after doubles play.

Alejandra Diaz/Kendall Jablonowski came away with a tight 9-7 victory at the top doubles spot, while Alexandra Lerma/Giovana Kelm and Allie Sutton/Luciana Iriarte fell 8-3 at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Diaz again battled hard, but lost in a third-set tiebreaker at No. 1 singles.

Jablonowski tabbed her second win of the day at No. 4 singles as she took care of business with a 6-1, 6-3 victory.

The rest of the Eagles were defeated in straight sets.
