PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Asbury University men's basketball team recorded their fourth straight road win, as the Eagles surged to an easy 106-67 victory at Carlow.
The Eagles jump to 15-8 on the year and are now 8-4 in RSC action. Asbury is currently on a three-game winning streak.
AU got off on a strong note offensively and quickly established a double digit advantage at 25-15.
Asbury wasted little time and put together a 15-6 run moments later, which had Asbury in complete control at 40-21.
Everything went right for Asbury in the first half as they scored a season-high for points in a half with 57 and led by 23 points at the break.
The Eagles posted another quality start in the second half and extended their lead out to 64-37.
Later on in the half, AU continued to score at ease as Trenton Thompson drilled a three from the top of the key to put the Eagles nearly ahead by 30 at 77-49. AU went on another 15-4 run and increased their lead out to 92-53.
The Eagles would eclipse 100 points for the fourth time this season moments later.
AU shot 51 percent from the field in the win and out-rebounded Carlow 55-40.
Trenton Thompson recorded his 9th double-double of the year with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
Clif Conley and Duke Desmond each tabbed 15 points. Conley also posted six rebounds and Duke dished out three assists.
Clarien Washington and Jack Schmitt both notched 10 points, while Siah Holifield totaled nine points, eight assists, and six rebounds.
Dave McCorvey added six points and five rebounds.
Asbury is back in action on Tuesday at the Luce Center as they host Brescia. The Bearcats are currently atop of the RSC West and defeated the Eagles earlier in the season in overtime in Owensboro.
Tip-off is slated for 7:30 PM.
